Woman killed in SF burglary, stabbing; suspect arrested in Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A woman was killed in a burglary and stabbing in San Francisco on Wednesday morning, the San Francisco Police Department said. The suspected killer was arrested in Oakland after a police chase.

The stabbing happened on the 100 block of Appleton Avenue at about 9 a.m. Officers arrived at the burglarized home and found the victim dead from stab wounds.

SFPD identified 46-year-old Marceleno Wilson of San Francisco as the suspect. A few hours later, officers spotted him driving in the Ingleside neighborhood of the city.

Officers attempted to stop the car, but Wilson refused, SFPD said. The officers chased Wilson on city streets and highways before he was arrested in Oakland.

Wilson was arrested for homicide, burglary and elder abuse, SFPD said.
