Woman killed in Lancaster County crash identified

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A woman killed in a Lancaster County crash Monday morning has been identified.

Karene Cruz, 53, of Chester County, died after a three-vehicle crash on Hershey Road (SR743) between Route 283 and Beverly Road in Mount Joy Township at 7:14 a.m., according to a spokesperson for Dauphin County.

The Dauphin County Coroner’s office ruled her cause of death from multiple traumatic injuries and her manner is ruled accidental.

Northwest Regional Police say they were dispatched to the crash and after arriving, officers found Cruz unresponsive and performed CPR before she was rushed to the hospital where she died.

The crash caused the road to be closed for several hours as the Northwest Crash team investigated, police said.
