Woman killed after car crashes into rear of tractor trailer in Laurinburg, police say

LAURINBURG, N.C. (WBTW) — A woman is dead after her car crashed into the rear of a Peterbilt tractor trailer Monday morning in Laurinburg, Capt. Chris Young with the Laurinburg Police Department said.

29-year-old Bridgett Danielle of Laurinburg was identified as the victim. Bryant was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital then airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill where she later died, deputies said.

Laurinburg police responded to the area of Highway 401 and Sneads grove Road in reference to an accident.

Upon police arrival, they found a 2017 Peterbilt tractor trailer on Highway 401 facing south and a 2014 Buick Regal partially under the Peterbilt tractor trailer.
