Woman found shot in kitchen, dies on South Side

CHICAGO — A woman died after she was shot in a kitchen on the South Side Sunday night.

Officers responded to the 6100 block of South King Drive just before 10 p.m. on the report of a person shot.

The woman, 23, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest on the kitchen floor.

She was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center a short time later.

17-year-old killed, 3 others injured in apparent high-speed crash in Glenview

No one is in custody and the circumstances around the homicide are unknown at this time.
