Woman fatally struck by motorcycle, truck on Florida road

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman died after she was struck by a motorcycle and a commercial truck while crossing SR-52 overnight Monday, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

Just after 11 p.m., a 49-year-old Pompano Beach man driving a commercial truck and a 57-year-old New Port Richey man driving a motorcycle were traveling east on SR-52 when the woman walked into the path of both vehicles, FHP said.

She was hit by both vehicles in succession and died from her injuries on the scene.

FHP said the truck driver was not injured, but the driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and has been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
