Woman fatally struck in Lebanon County hit and run crash, police investigating

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Lebanon County on Tuesday morning, according to police.

South Lebanon Township Police said in a news release that officers were dispatched for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Eastfield Drive at about 7:37 a.m.

The pedestrian, a 77-year-old woman who lived in a nearby housing development, was dead at the scene by the time officers arrived, police said.

The driver of the striking vehicle drove away from the scene without stopping, police said. The driver and vehicle were later found by police, however, police did not say whether charges were being filed.

Police are still investigating the fatal crash.
