Woman fatally shot in southwest Charlotte apartment, police say
A woman was killed Monday afternoon in southwest Charlotte, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
She was found with a gunshot wound inside an apartment on Perugia Way around 4:30 p.m., police said. Perugia Way is near the intersection of Steele Creek Road and South Tryon Street.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead by paramedics, according to Medic.
Based on initial reports, investigators believe this was a domestic homicide, according to a CMPD news release.
