Woman Dumped Three Kittens In A Bin And Left Them To Die

A woman has admitted leaving three kittens to die by dumping them in a bin.

Terran Wall, 52, from Bristol, dropped the black cats into a large waste bin without any food or water in the summer.

One of the animals was so desperate to escape the deep bin that it burrowed its head into a hole at the bottom of the container and got stuck.

The kittens were only rescued when a passer-by heard them calling from the bin.

Wall was arrested by police and admitted three counts of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

She was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £250 costs.

The kittens have found a new home.

PC Stuart King said: “I am happy to report that the rescued kittens are now living a fulfilled life on a farm on the outskirts of Bristol.”

The incident has echoes of the case of Mary Bale, from Coventry, who was dubbed “Cat Bin Lady” when she was filmed on CCTV pushing a cat into a wheelie bin in August 2010. She was fined £250 and also ordered to pay a victim surcharge and costs totalling £1,436.
