Update: Woman charged after driving car across golf course and into pond with child inside

A woman is facing a DUI, child endangerment and a reckless driving charge after driving her car across a Myrtle Beach golf course and into a pond with a child inside.

Kara Morgan Cribb, 34, was charged Tuesday night and is out on a surety bond of $1,087.

Officers responded to the call around 5 p.m. at the Whispering Pines Golf Course, near Harrelson Boulevard. No serious injuries were reported, and the mother and daughter were rescued by responding officers.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department and Horry County Fire Rescue were at the scene. A diving team pulled a white SUV out of the pond near the fourth hole.
