One dead, another injured after crash on Fairystone Park Highway in Henry County

UPDATED: HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police says a woman from Fieldale has died after a crash on Fairystone Park Highway in Henry County on April 18.

The crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m. near Woody Circle. Investigators say a 2003 Dodge Neon was traveling on Faiystone Park Highway when it ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

According to VSP, the passenger in the Dodge was identified as 41-year-old Kristina Rouse Janey. She died at the scene.

We’re told the driver was airlifted to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.

The crash remains under investigation; however, state police confirmed Janey was not wearing her seatbelt.
