EPPING — A state police trooper saved a woman from a fiery single-vehicle crash on Route 101 in Epping on Tuesday night, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. near mile marker 118 when a 2017 Chevrolet Trax driven by a 41-year-old Bedford woman veered off the road and crashed into a tree line alongside the road, police said.

When the officer responded to the scene, the driver was alert but was unable to exit the vehicle, which was engulfed in flames.

"The trooper immediately broke through the front driver’s window and extracted the driver," stated police in a press release.
