Woman with brain injury raped at Bronx hospital: Police
A 32-year-old patient suffering from a "serious brain injury" at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital was raped in the hospital on Friday, police sources told the New York Post.
The patient, a female, was raped by a man who knows the victim personally. A registered nurse entered the hospital room to check on the patient to discover 37-year-old Keith Nembhard having sex with her.
The "incapacitated" woman was fully unable to consent to sex due to the extents of her brain injuries, police said.
Nembhard was arrested and charged with rape in the second degree.
