Woman arrested after allegedly trying to set fires in Royals' ballpark
A woman was arrested at Kauffman Stadium early Wednesday after allegedly trying to set fires in the park, according to KCTV 5.
Police arrived at the Kansas City Royals’ park at 5 a.m. after security called about a woman who “unlawfully entered the stadium.”
The woman — 36-year-old Bridget L. Depriest — told officers she had been in the stadium since Tuesday morning. The Royals are currently on a road-trip playing the Los Angels Angels. During the time she was at the park, Depriest reportedly set three fires on the field, resulting in burn marks in the grass.
Officers took 36-year-old Bridget L. Depriest into custody and was issued summons for trespassing and openly burning resulting in property damage. DETAILS >> https://t.co/pr5tFtTlEl pic.twitter.com/aedpPUC5TU
