Woman arrested for alleged supermarket retail theft

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman was charged after police stated she left the Giant without paying for any items.

According to the Hazleton City Police Department, on Thursday officers were called to Giant on South Locust Street around 1:00 p.m., for a theft.

Man accused of $10,000 retail theft at Best Buy

Police say a woman was stopped by security from leaving the store after she was seen not paying for over $250 worth of items.

The woman was arrested and charged with retail theft. She remains in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after not posting the $10,000 straight bail.
