Woman, 72, punched in the back of the head in Brooklyn: NYPD
BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 72-year-old woman was attacked while she was walking in Brooklyn on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
The woman was near 4th Avenue and 96th Street in Bay Ridge around 4:50 p.m. when she was approached by a man from behind. The man allegedly punched her in the back of the head, causing her to fall to the ground, according to authorities.

The woman suffered from bleeding and swelling to her head and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, police said.
The man was last seen fleeing the scene on 97th Street. He’s described as being around 5’11” and was last seen wearing a black skull cap, black jacket, black pants and gray and white sneakers.
