Woman, 71, punched in the face in Brooklyn: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 71-year-old woman was punched in the face in Brooklyn on the morning of April 25, police said Thursday.

The incident happened at around 9:31 a.m. at the intersection of Saint Felix Street and Lafayette Avenue, according to the NYPD.

The suspect approached the victim and punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, according to authorities. The suspect then fled on foot, heading westbound on Lafayette Avenue, police said.

The suspect is described as a male around 40 to 50 years old last seen wearing a black jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes, police said. The NYPD released a surveillance image of the unidentified suspect, who hasn’t been caught.
