‘Wizard of Oz’ darling Judy Garland had this California haven built. Now you can buy it

A piece of Hollywood’s heyday has landed on the real estate market in Bel Air, California — the home that “Wizard of Oz” starlet Judy Garland had custom-built. And it can be yours for $11.49 million.

The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence looks like it was plucked right out of a fairy tale with its alabaster exterior set against the backdrop of the rolling Southern California hillside. The home, built in 1938, was designed by famous architect Wallace Neff, who was known for his “California style” and A-list clientele, which included Cary Grant, Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford and Garland, Modern Living LA reported.

“Situated on nearly 2.7 acres of exceptionally manicured grounds, this traditional, 1938 estate has been meticulously modified over the last decade, gracing the pages of numerous prestigious publications, standing as a testament to timeless beauty and architecture,” the listing on Josh Flagg’s website says.

Flagg is the Compass agent who holds the listing.

“Enter through the circular, gated driveway over the creek into a world of refined elegance beginning with the grand, iron staircase as the focal point of the formal entry.”

There are fine features throughout the 5,513-square-foot digs that combine modern luxury with a quiet, old Hollywood dazzle. Amenities include:

There is also a separate building on the property that serves as a “writer’s cabin,” Robb Report says.

Garland rose to fame at the delicate age of 13 and hit the jackpot at 16 by starring in the 1939 film as Dorothy, a troubled child who enters an iridescent world of color after her house is swept away by a Kansas tornado. The role earned her an Academy Award, and she went on to star in numerous films before dying of an accidental drug overdose in 1969.
