They literally just added five new events to Olympics for Tokyo 2020, so surely there's room for one more new sport? And we have just the thing.

To some people, librarians might be the least likely to play a sport, let alone invent one, but here we are. Make way for synchronised shelving! Elite swimmers and running champs, be gone. It's time for some book worms to show us what they're made of. 

Synchronised shelving is the creation of Invercargill City Libraries and Archives in New Zealand, who have uploaded a video demonstrating the sport for its potential selection. 

Witness the flair and downright physical dexterity that it take to get that book slotted in just right, plus their A+ knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System. Is this not the perfect sport?
