Make-A-Wish Wyoming to host first-ever event with 1WYO

Apr. 18—Make-A-Wish Wyoming will host its first-ever Serving Up Wishes fundraising event in collaborating with 1WYO this weekend in Cheyenne.

The event will pair University of Wyoming student-athletes and coaches with children battling critical illnesses. The event will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at Little America in Cheyenne.

1WYO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting charitable causes in the state of Wyoming. Tickets for the event can be bought online at wish.org/wyoming/serving-wishes.

Tickets include dinner, athlete-led entertainment and more surprises throughout the evening.

The event will feature six head coaches from UW, including Jay Sawvel (football), Jeff Linder (men's basketball), Heather Ezell (women's basketball), Kaylee Prigge (volleyball), Mark Branch (wrestling) and Josey Stender (women's golf).

Make-A-Wish Wyoming encourages all who want to make a difference in a child's life — and engage with UW athletes and coaches — to attend this inaugural event. All proceeds help the organization grant the wishes of kids battling critical illnesses across Wyoming.
