Wisconsin State Patrol investigating Fond du Lac County crash that killed motorcycle passenger, injured another

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating a deadly Fond du Lac County crash that left a 29-year-old woman dead and sent the driver of a motorcycle to the hospital on Wednesday.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol Northeast Region Fond du Lac Post, multiple first responders were sent to the scene of a crash on CTH OO at Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac around 5:10 p.m. on May 15.

After a preliminary investigation was conducted, authorities determined that a commercial motor vehicle that was westbound on CTH OO reportedly turned left in front of an eastbound motorcycle.

The 29-year-old female passenger of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and the 30-year-old male driver was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash. Both the driver and passenger were from Fond du Lac.

The driver of the commercial motor vehicle, a 33-year-old man from Ripon was not injured in the crash.

Assisting agencies included the North Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, North Fond du Lac Fire and EMS, Town of Fond du Lac Fire, and Fond du Lac County Communications Center.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol. No additional information was provided.
