Wisconsin severe weather threat; tornado watch for SE Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE - It has been an active weather day on Tuesday, May 7, with storms in the morning and severe storms in the afternoon. A third round of storms is on the way tonight between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. All of southeast Wisconsin is under a level-1 marginal risk for severe storms. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out. Additionally, heavy rain could lead to localized flooding.

This will be the final round ahead and along a cold front that will move through. A few sprinkles/isolated shower is possible Wednesday morning. While most of Wednesday will remain dry, a secondary low pressure system will bring another round of rain and storms by Wednesday night into early Thursday.

Heavy rain brought some areas a 0.5" to over 1.5" of rain. Storms were efficient rain makers causing localized flooding.
