Wisconsin driver declines transport to the hospital after crashing into culvert
VIROQUA, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say one driver declined to be taken to a hospital after crashing into a culvert Wednesday morning.
According to a release from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded around 10:30 a.m. to US Highway 14 on the far north end of the city of Viroqua for reports of a single-vehicle crash.
Officials say 44-year-old Jared J. Domenget was driving his 2003 Pontiac Gand Am north on US Highway 14 when he allegedly encountered snow or slush sending the vehicle off the right side of the roadway, down an embankment, and coming to a stop in a culvert.
Domenget did not report any injuries to authorities and denied being taken to the hospital but was still evaluated on the scene by the Viroqua Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Responders and the Tri-State Ambulance/Gundersen Ambulance.
At this time, no other information is available and an investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
