Wisconsin Beef Council names Elite 8 in first-ever ‘Best Burger Contest’

WISCONSIN (WFRV) – The Final Four in the NCAA Tournament is set, but the Wisconsin Beef Council has its own bracket. On Tuesday, they announced the Elite Eight in the first-ever ‘Best Burger Contest’ in Wisconsin.

The contest was designed to seek out and promote 100% beef burgers prepared in Wisconsin restaurants, and after receiving thousands of nominations, the council has released the final eight.

In no particular order, these restaurants received the most nominations on the Wisconsin Beef Council’s website over the past month:

    • 5507 Co Rd Y, Hazelhurst (Oneida County)

  • Skippy’s Burger Bar

    • 113 Green Bay Rd, Thiensville (Ozaukee County)

  • Straight Home Bar & Grill

  • The Dump Bar & Grill

    • 105 W Edgewater St, Cambria (Columbia County)

These eight restaurants will now be evaluated by a secret panel of judges. The Wisconsin Beef Council encourages Wisconsinites to visit these restaurants and try their 100% beef burgers.
