Winter-like temperatures return tomorrow

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

Happy First Day of Spring, which officially starts at 10:06pm tonight! Today, it felt like it, with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s in areas that saw peaks of sun today. If you were up north, it remained cloudy and temperatures around 40 degrees.

A cold front sits to our north, and will slide in this evening. It wont bring any precipitation besides a flurry, but will usher in cooler air tonight. Temperatures will drop all the way into the upper teens to low 20s tonight, but factor in a NNW wind at 10-20 mph, wind chills tomorrow morning will start in the single digits!

Tomorrow will feature streams of clouds in the morning, but expect more sunshine as the day progresses onward. Our first full day of Spring will feel more like we headed back to winter, with a NW wind still bringing in cooler air as highs will only reach the low to mid 30s. Thursday, expect sunshine as well and temperatures warm slightly to the mid and upper 30s.

Clouds return late Thursday ahead of our next weather maker targeting the area with snow showers after midnight. Moderate to heavy snow is possible for the Friday morning commute in some spots, so plan on giving yourself some extra time to travel. The system will exit by the mid afternoon, so Friday’s commute home and any evening plans will not be affected.

Saturday looks dry but another system works its way in starting in the afternoon Sunday and could be a multi day event, lasting through Tuesday.
