Winnipeg man injured after strong winds tip tractor trailer near Reynolds, ND

Jun. 11—A Winnipeg man was injured after strong winds blew over a tractor trailer near Reynolds, N.D., on Friday morning, June 11.

According to a release from North Dakota Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Brian Dueck was driving a 2020 Freightliner truck pulling an empty dry van trailer south on Interstate 29 three miles north of Reynolds just before 5:30 a.m. on Friday when strong, gusty winds tipped the empty vehicle into the median onto its driver side.

The truck came to rest partially in the median and partially in the northbound lanes, the release states.

Dueck suffered minor injuries but was not transported for medical attention, according to NDHP. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane until the vehicle could be removed.

According to NDHP, road conditions were wet at the time of the incident due to thunderstorms, heavy winds and rain.
