Until Monday night’s drawing, no one had matched all six numbers and won the Mega Millions jackpot since Dec. 8. It’s been nearly four years since a winning Mega Millions jackpot was sold in New Jersey.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states plus Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

New Jersey was one of the first states to sign up for the Mega Millions lottery drawing back in 2002. Since then, it has seen 24 Mega Millions jackpot winners.

If you’re not holding the winning ticket, don’t pack up your dreams just yet. The Powerball jackpot sits at $865 million and the next drawing is Wednesday night.

No one has won that prize since New Year’s Day, making for 36 drawings without a winner.
