And the winner of 'America's Got Talent' is...

The grand finale of America’s Got Talent came down to the two youngest competitors, 10-year-old singer Angelica Hale and 12-year-old ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer. But in the end, there could only be one winner — and America chose Darci Lynne.

Darci Lynne had been a strong contender throughout the competition. During the finale, she got to meet Jeff Dunham, one of the best ventriloquists in the world. And she got to perform with Season 2 winner Terry Fator.

Darci Lynne was overwhelmed with emotion during the final moments of the competition. She has said that ventriloquism was a way for her to overcome being “very, very shy. But America’s Got Talent has given me a voice and more confidence than I could ever have.”

Winning $1 million and a show in Las Vegas, the talented Darci Lynne seems to have a bright future. Looks like Fator and the older-ventriloquist set might have to start keeping up with the new competition.

America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of America’s Got Talent free on Yahoo View.
