SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) — A new wildfire has erupted as gusty winds sweep across Southern California.
The latest blaze was sparked just before noon Tuesday north of Los Angeles near the Magic Mountain theme park and Interstate 5.
Hundreds of LA County firefighters are responding with air support but there is no immediate threat to homes.
Up the coast in Santa Barbara County, firefighters are battling a 2.8-square-mile fire that erupted in Los Padres National Forest on Monday. Winds are expected to return there later in the day.
