Willowick Public Library hosts author talk focused on 'Really Good Questions about Cleveland'

May 9—Willowick Public Library will be hosting author Jim Sweeney at 6:30 p.m. May 21.

He will be answering such Cleveland-centric questions as "Why is the only 90-degree turn in the U.S. Interstate Highway System right smack in our downtown?" "Why do people love the Browns despite their record, and why do Browns fans really hate the Steelers?" and "Why are Cleveland's hippies concentrated in Coventry Village?"

Sweeney, who was a reporter for the News-Herald and Cleveland Plain Dealer for more than 20 years, explores topics that have long been overlooked in his book "What's the Deal with Dead Man's Curve? and Other Really Good Questions about Cleveland."

This special event is free to attend, however registration is required. Visit www.we247.org or call 440-943-4151 for more information or to register. Books will be available for purchase.

The Willowick Public Library is located at 263 E. 305 St. in Willowick.
