Wi-Fi issues plaguing iPhone and iPad users following iOS 6 update

BGR has received a number of emails from iOS device users who report that after updating to iOS 6, they can no longer connect to Wi-Fi networks. When a connection attempt is made, their devices pop up a login screen that simply displays Apple’s (AAPL) website and offers nowhere to input any login credentials. When the screen is dismissed, the users’ devices fail to connect to the network. The issue seems to exist on open and secure Wi-Fi networks, and it affects saved networks as well. BGR has confirmed that this issue also presents itself on earlier beta versions of iOS 6 software, though it appears to be intermittent. iPhones and iPads are both affected by the mysterious bug, and Apple has not commented on the issue.
