College football fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of EA Sports College Football 25 a revival of one of the video game companies’ most popular franchises.

More than 100,000 college football players will appear in the game, however, Texas quarterback Arch Manning won’t be among them as the Longhorns quarterback has opted out of appearing in the game preferring to focus on developing his game as opposed to growing his profile according to reports.

Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods was the first to report on Manning’s opt-out.

Manning, one of the most highly recruited high school players of all time, is a sophomore and nephew of NFL legends Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. Manning played his high school football at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans where he became the No. 1 recruit in the country according to 247 Sports.

A major draw since he stepped foot in Austin, Manning has kept a low profile despite being one of the most sought-after players in the country for NIL deals. Manning’s only NIL deal last year was an exclusive trading card partnership with Panini America.

Despite the attention surrounding him Manning has yet to start a game for the Longhorns and appears set to continue his role as backup with Quinn Ewers announcing his return to Texas for his senior season
