Tina Malone has paid tribute to the rapper Coolio after hearing of his death, saying she was "glad we got to make up".
According to TMZ, the star, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr, was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor at a friend’s house in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Celebrity friends of the musician, who was 59 when he died, have offered their condolences, including Michelle Pfeiffer who starred in the 1995 movie Dangerous Minds which featured Coolio's song 'Gangsta's Paradise'.
Former Shameless star Malone offered: “RIP COOLIO! YOU DROVE ME NUTS, YOU MADE ME LAUGH! GLAD WE GOT TO MAKE UP! Godbless xx.”
But Celebrity Big Brother fans may have been surprised to see the message - here's why.
What happened between Coolio and Tina Malone?
Coolio and Malone crossed paths when they both took part in the 2009 UK series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The rapper had fallen out with a couple of other housemates and clashed over tasks, but he and Malone locked horns over a shopping list.
In a row over who should be allowed to read out the shopping list for the housemates, Coolio told Malone to "shut the f*** up".
Malone then got to her feet and shouted at him: "No f***ing man will ever tell me to shut up."
Coolio told her to "shut her big ass mouth" but was called to the Diary Room in an attempt to defuse the argument.
The pair later made up after leaving the house, and Malone paid a heartfelt tribute after learning of his death.
What were Coolio's other memorable moments on Big Brother?
Coolio took part in Big Brother twice - as well as his 2009 stint, he was invited back to be a housemate on Ultimate Big Brother in 2010.
He had a number of stormy encounters in both series, including falling out with Ulrika Jonsson in 2009 who felt he was overbearing, particularly with the female housemates.
Following his death, Jonsson told PA: "I spent a fair bit of time with Coolio – he was a misogynist, broke wind a lot; he fancied himself as a cook but my God, we had so many laughs."
Sugababes singer Mutya Buena left the 2009 series early as she said that Coolio had made her feel uncomfortable a number of times, and model Lucy Pinder also complained about his behaviour.
In Ultimate Big Brother, Coolio had a number of run-ins with former Big Brother winner Nadia Almada, which came to a head when he was caught hiding her clothes.
It led to a furious row, during which Coolio was called to the Diary Room and by mutual agreement between himself and the producers, he left the house on day five.
