Why You Should Always Have a Sommelier at Girl's Night

Designed by the ladies of Beijos Events, along with florals by Palms and Petals plus wine by Argaux, this girl's night is heading out to sea. Welcome to wine tasting on a boat. It's a genius way to celebrate with your gal pals and comes equipped with some really stunning scenery and expert sommeliers. Get inspired to host a party on the open water with this gem captured by Alison Bernier.

I love a change in season, although we don't get much of it here in Southern California. The mornings and evenings may get a bit colder but it's still pretty warm during the day. You won't find me complaining though, it gives us the opportunity to do sunset cruises on the water like this one! I recently styled a little wine night for a few special ladies on a Duffy Boat in Newport Harbor.

We didn't really need a reason to celebrate, but we made this one about welcoming Fall and enjoying each other's company, which as busy working ladies we don't get to do nearly enough. The ladies of Argaux joined us, they are Arden and Margaux and are sommeliers. They offer their expertise in wine from anything to wine clubs, help with what to serve at your dinner party or just helping you decide what wine to have on hand for yourself! They lead us on our wine adventure that night and didn't disappoint with delicious rosé, sauvignon blanc and pinots.

Each bottle had a bit of history to it which was so fun to hear! They also brought an amazing cheese board, so they were definitely everyone's favorite! I of course made sure the setting was beautiful for our beautiful guests!

Kristin of the Garage Collective brought along pillows and throws so the ladies were all comfortable. Palms & Petals made the festive Fall floral arrangement which everyone was talking about. And last but not least the amazing paper goods were created by Yellow Heart Art. She designed the most beautiful invitation, menu and place cards for each guest, but our favorite had to be the tasting notes! We each got to jot down what we learned and keep it on this beautiful piece she designed. As the sun set we were all in awe of where we live... It was a beautiful night and it doesn't get much better than that!
