JFrog and GitHub team up to closely integrate their source code and binary platforms
GitHub and JFrog announced a partnership on Wednesday that will see a deeper integration between the two companies' platforms, giving developers and their support teams an easier way to manage both their source code and the resulting binaries across both services. Later, there will also be a unified dashboard that will provide a single pane of glass for seeing the results of source- and binary-focused security scans from GitHub's and JFrog's respective security tools. Avendus, India's top venture advisor, confirms it's looking to raise a $350 million fund
Avendus, the top investment bank for venture deals in India, confirmed on Wednesday it is looking to raise up to $350 million for its new private equity fund. The new fund, called Future Leaders Fund III, will enable the Mumbai-headquartered firm to write larger checks and maintain a meaningful position in the startups it backs, said its managing partner Ritesh Chandra in an interview with TechCrunch. TechCrunch reported in early April that Avendus was putting together a plan to raise a new fund.

China has closed a third state-backed investment fund to bolster its semiconductor industry and reduce reliance on other nations, both for using and for manufacturing wafers — prioritizing what is called chip sovereignty. China's National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund, also known simply as 'the Big Fund,' had two previous vintages: Big Fund I (2014 to 2019) and Big Fund II (2019 to 2024). The latter was significantly larger than the former, but Big Fund III is larger than both at 344 billion yuan, or about $47.5 billion, public filings revealed.

The founder of the spyware app pcTattletale said his company is "out of business and completely done" following a data breach over the weekend.
