There are plenty of pregnant celebrities out there right now, but one very specific group of famous women is expecting babies all at the same time. In the past four months, three former members of the dearly departed MTV series The Hills have announced their pregnancies.
Lauren Conrad led the pack with her New Year's Day sonogram photo. Just a few weeks after, Whitney Port followed suit with a tiny-bump Instagram photo announcement. Most recently, former The Hills villains Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt announced that they were also expecting their first child. (Fellow The Hills alums Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari are already moms to young kids.)
In a recent interview, Port addressed the fact that she and her old co-stars are all pregnant at the same time. JoJo Wright of KTLA 5 Morning News in Los Angeles pointed out that everyone in Port's "crew" was pregnant (though, based on comments they've all made post-The Hills, I don't think any of them consider the others their "crew" at this point).
Port joked that it might seem like they coordinated their pregnancies, but that's (obviously) not the case. "It's crazy. You would think we all like got together one night and discussed this master plan," the fashion designer said. " Just totally a coincidence. It's been really awesome." When Wright joked about the potential for the babies growing up together and starring in a The Hills spin-off, Port expertly "ha-ha, nope'd" right out of that line of questioning.
Appearing on the morning show to rep her new flower delivery service Bloom2Bloom, Port also discussed her recently-launched vlog series "I Love My Baby But I Hate My Pregnancy." The Whitney Eve designer explained that the inspiration for her candid update videos stemmed from her pregnancy's rough start. "I had a really hard first trimester - it was hard both emotionally and physically. Obviously the morning sickness and also just the stress of not knowing what you're in for and having this little creature kind of take over your body. It's really just a lot to take in," Port said.
