Whitney Port‘s body is changing throughout her pregnancy — but, like many women, she’s struggling to accept and grow comfortable with all the physical changes that come with growing a human being.

The 32-year-old recently shared a photo from her baby shower, posing in a floral Elizabeth and James dress, in which she reflected on body image in the caption. “Boy, am I growing! In every direction!” she began the post.

She then explained her perspective on her size. “At first, I must be honest, I had a very hard time coming to terms with my changing body,” she wrote. “I had always prided myself on being healthy from the inside out and it was difficult not labeling my pregnant body ‘fat’. But as time has gone on, I have come to appreciate what my body is ACTUALLY doing.”

“Don’t get me wrong, I still look at myself in the mirror every day in disbelief about the fact that my boobs are now triple d’s or that when I look down, I can’t see my feet, etc. But I remind myself I’m growing a gift and this gift needs room to grow. Just as we all do,” she concluded.

The post was met with a number of comments from followers who were experiencing similar feelings.

“I love all your honest posts! I’m 21 weeks along and dealing with that whole ‘in between’ food baby looking belly and actually baby bump. Our bodies are truly amazing and as a women is so hard to remind ourselves of that! You look great, keep posting!” one user commented. “I hear you… totally feeling the same way but not at the acceptance point yet, even at 37 weeks,” another added.

Port also shared a candid snap from the baby shower smiling alongside her husband, Tim Rosenman.

“BEST baby shower ever!!! Last Friday night, my sisters @bkevents @jadeportrobbins@paigemport and @mamavicksie threw Timmy and I the most perfect pool party BBQ to celebrate #babyrosenman,” she wrote in the caption.

The designer has been creating an ongoing series called ‘I LOVE MY BABY, BUT I HATE MY PREGNANCY’ in which she discusses the different aspects of what’s she’s going through while carrying her child.

She’s posted about everything from attending birthing classes with her spouse to their mutual decision not to find out the gender of their child before the big day.

Port also posted a YouTube video explaining why she chose to name the series as she did.

In it, she clarifies that she is extremely grateful to be pregnant and feels for any woman who does not have the same ability.
