The White Lotus season 3 has finally come to an end, and you can expect people to be leaving Thailand in bodybags by the time we get to the finale's final moments. Some have criticized this season for being a slow burn that drags on a bit too long, and even though we don't agree with that belief generally, the finale definitely gave us the most explosive episode yet.

But the big question of the night is, who died? And now we finally have the answer to the source of the gunshots we heard at the beginning of the season.

Warning: Spoilers for The White Lotus Season 3 ahead, including details about the season finale.

Belinda and Zion

Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) has a big decision to make in the final episode of the season, will she take $100,000 from Greg (Jon Gries)?

Over breakfast her son Zion (Nicholas Duvernay) doesn't only encourage her to take the money, but believes she should see exactly how much money she can get out of Greg.

Zion quickly takes over the negotiations with Greg, saying that his mom should be able to see her fully realized dream of opening her own spa, and he asks for $5 million. Greg quickly declines, and Belinda walks out, even though her son says the "businessmen" can negotiate without her.

But it's all a game and when Zion follows her, Belinda tell him to go back in there saying she doesn't trust Greg and if she doesn't get the money, who knows what she'll do.

The next morning Belinda checks with her bank and it's confirmed that $5 million has been deposited in her account, with Belinda receiving a phone call from Greg.

"He said he gave it to Tanya as much as he gave it to me," Belinda tells her son. "And he said he wanted to make sure I lived up to my end of the bargain."

But Belinda plan is to leave Thailand quickly, and wants to go somewhere that will make it hard for Greg to find her.

The mother-son pair leave the resort, but unfortunately, it's the end of the budding romance with Pornchai (Dom Hetrakul).

Kate, Laurie and Jaclyn

The three women Kate (Leslie Bibb), Laurie (Carrie Coon) and Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan) have really gone through significant highs and lows as this friend group, and the season ends with them getting closer.

It really comes down to one scene, the final dinner they share at the resort where Laurie opens up to her friends about finding meaning in her life through friendship.

"I had this epiphany today, I don't need religion or god to give my life meaning, because time gives it meaning. ... And I look at you guys and it feels meaningful," she said. "I'm just happy to be at the table."

It ends with all of them saying they love each other.

The Ratliff family — Timothy, Victoria, Piper, Saxon and Lochlan

As Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola) leave the monastery to the return to the resort, it was actually Lochlan who had a more appealing time.

Having a conversation over breakfast, Piper tells her parents she could tell the food wasn't organic and it was "bland." She also complained about the mattress with stains and no air conditioning in her room. And Victoria (Parker Posey) is clearly thrilled.

"I guess I am spoiled because I can't live like that," Piper says. "There's so much suffering in the world and we have it so easy, and other people have it so hard. ... And I just feel really bad."

"No one in the history of the world has lived better than we have," Victoria responds. "The least we can do is enjoy it. If we don't, it's offensive. It's an offence to all the billions of people who can only dream that one day they could live like we do."

Meanwhile, Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) has taken to reading the books Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) gave him, but when it comes to his intimate moment with his brother, he tells Lochlan he never wants to talk about it. Ever.

Timothy (Jason Isaacs) asks Lochlan if he would be able live with no money, and his son responds by saying he thinks he could, with agreement from his dad.

Sending Lochlan outside to enjoy his last day at the resort, Timothy then requests that the family's cell phones aren't retuned until they're on the boat leaving he resort. He also asks the family's wellness mentor, Pam (Morgana O'Reilly), about the poisonous fruit from the "suicide trees" outside their suite.

During the family's last dinner at the resort, Timothy has the idea to go back to their suite and make blended piña colada cocktails, but stresses that Lochlan, who's not 21, still won't be having one.

As Timothy makes the four drinks, he adds the poisonous fruit into the mix.

"I couldn't ask for a more perfect family," Timothy says as a toast. "We’ve had a perfect life, haven’t we? ... I love you so much."

As everyone starts taking a sip, Timothy grabs all the glasses and dumps them into the sink, saying that the coconut milk was off. With Victoria, of course, requesting they open a bottle of wine instead.

But the next morning Lochlan decides to make a shake in the blender with the remnants from last night's drinks (which, for the record, would be disgusting after sitting out all night).

Drinking his shake, he start throwing up in the pool. Then we see Lochlan in the water as he sees the shadows of four bald men standing over the pool, before we're actually shown that he's next to the pool unconscious. His dad is the one to find him.

But don't worry, Lochlan isn't dead. As he regains consciousness he says to Timothy, "I think I just saw god."

The episode ends with the family on the boat leaving the resort, and Timothy says their lives are going to be a lot different when they look at their phones and eventually return home, but they'll get through it as a family.

"Because nothing's more important than family, right?" Timothy says.

Rick and Chelsea

When Rick (Walton Goggins) leaves Frank (Sam Rockwell) at the beginning of the finale to return to the resort, Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) runs into his arms on the beach. When she asks how things went he says he didn't kill anyone and he got the monkey off his back.

Later that evening, the pair continue to share the sentiment that they're going to be together forever.

But at their final breakfast Rick is approached by Jim Hollinger (Scott Glenn), who says he remembers Rick's mother.

"I knew she was a drunk and a slut. Didn't know she was a liar too," Jim says. "She told you a fairytale kid. Your father was no saint. You didn't miss out on much. And that's the f**king truth."

As Jim asks Rick if he's going to try to kill him now, Jim shows him the gun on the inside of his coat.

When Rick returns to the breakfast table with Chelsea, she tells him to try to forget about Jim and asks him to not do anything stupid.

But after leaving breakfast Rick sees Jim and his wife, Sritala (Patravadi Mejudhon), taking pictures with Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan), as fans of her show. Rick walks up to Jim, pulls the gun out of his coat and shoots him, just as Sritala tells Rick that Jim is actually his father.

Rick then goes on a bit of a shooting rampage, trying to escape Sritala's bodyguards who are now shooting at him. But Chelsea is hit by a bullet.

Just repeating the word "no," Rick cries over Chelsea's dying body.

That's when Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) is instructed by Sritala to shoot Rick, who's now carrying Chelsea's body. Gaitok shoots Rick, who falls into the water, along with Chelsea.

Gaitok and Mook

While Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthon) starts the season finale by telling Mook (Lalisa Manobal, also known as Lisa) that he's going to reveal who's responsible for the robberies, that doesn't happen, and Mook is pretty disappointed. But as we revealed previously, his role as the resort security includes him killing Rick (Walton Goggins) at the end of the episode.

In the season's final moments we see that Gaitok is among Sritala (Patravadi Mejudhon) bodyguards, gaining Mook's respect.

Greg and Chloe

While we've already revealed what happens with Greg (Jon Gried) and Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), the season ends seemingly with him set to live out his sexual fantasizes, as we see him watch Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) flirt with another man.
