Officials said the state dinner will reflect a celebration of spring, serving a variety of wine including Lingua Franca Bunker Hill Chardonnay (2021) from Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Argyle Vintage Brut Rosé (2020) also from the Willamette Valley, along with Long Shadow Pirouette (a 2019 red blend) from Washington state’s Columbia Valley.

The dinner will be served with the State Service china of Presidents George W. Bush and Lyndon B. Johnson, officials said.

During the visit, President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Kishida aim to strengthen their alliance amid shared concerns about China’s growing influence, as reported by the Associated Press.
