There will be a presidential preference primary Tuesday.

Polling places will be open from 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. in Norwich, Killingly, Griswold and Plainfield.

The Republican ballot includes Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Donald Trump and Ryan Binkley. On the Democratic ballot, there is Marianne Williamson, Dean Phillips, Cenk Uygur and Joe Biden. Both the Republican and Democratic ballots also include the uncommitted voting option.

Citizens may register to vote in their hometown until noon on Monday, April 1.

The general election for all positions will take place Tuesday, Nov. 5. The president of the United States serves a four-year term.

There are six polling locations in Norwich for Tuesday’s presidential preference primary.

  • Norwich Worship Center, 165 Lawler Lane, Precinct 1

  • Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive, Precinct 2

  • Veterans of Foreign Wars-Post 594, 30 Connecticut Ave., Precinct 3

  • Beth Jacob Synagogue, 400 New London Turnpike, Precinct 4

  • Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 247 Washington St., Precinct 5

  • AHEPA-110 Community Room, 380 Hamilton Ave., Precinct 6

Killingly

The Town of Killingly has two polling locations for Tuesday’s primary.

  • Board of Education Central Office Cafeteria, 79 Westfield Ave., Killingly

  • Killingly High School Gymnasium, 226 Putnam Pike, Killingly

Griswold

Griswold voters can cast their ballots for Tuesday’s primary at Griswold Town Hall, 28 Main St., Jewett City.

Plainfield

There are two polling locations in Plainfield for Tuesday’s primary.

  • Plainfield Town Hall, 8 Community Ave., Plainfield

  • Moosup Fire Department, 37 South Main St., Moosup
