This Is Where the Twitter Vortex of 'Wow' Ends

There's a new little Twitter game happening that we will call the Vortex of Wow in which someone tweets "Wow." and then a link to another person tweeting "Wow." with a link to another person tweeting "Wow." and then, well, you get the picture. Before you get sucked into the terrible trap, the Vortex of Wow ends at the following tweet from 9to5Mac blogger Mark Gurman, who told The Atlantic Wire he posted the initial tweet not to start this frustrating chain but because he "disagreed" with Donald Trump:

Wow. twitter.com/realDonaldTrum…

— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) February 26, 2013

Making fun of that Twitter format, someone who goes by Erik Schmidt on Twitter seems to be the one who started this all with the following tweet:

Wow. twitter.com/markgurman/sta…

— Erik Schmidt (@shmdy) February 26, 2013

That was two days ago, and it's resulted in a chain of Wows so deep that continues this morning:

Wow twitter.com/scottlamb/stat…

— John Herrman (@jwherrman) February 28, 2013

You can see how following the path would get very tiring, very fast. So, you're welcome.
