"Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners," a Homeland Security Investigations spokesperson said in a statement to USA TODAY.

Combs grew up in Mount Vernon. None of his previous or current homes in New York or New Jersey have yet been raided by HSI, though.

Here's where the rapper lived in New York as well as New Jersey:

New Rochelle: In 2003, Combs purchased a 3-bedroom, 3,125-square foot home for $890,000 in a gated community on Brookridge Road for Misa Hylton Brim (also known as Taneika Hooten), the mother of his son Justin Combs. The mortgage went into default and the property was put up for sale in a foreclosure auction in December 2016. It sold in September 2017 for $700,000.

Scarsdale: Combs once said he once bought a house in Scarsdale that he couldn't afford in the early 1990s. He also set up the first Bad Boy Entertainment record label office in that Scarsdale house.

New York City: Combs had a 2,300-square foot, three-bedroom condominium at a West 56th Street 53-floor building known as The Park Imperial. Its website notes features such a concierge, doorman, and fitness center, as well as parking.

Combs purchased the unit, which had Central Park views but which were later obstructed by a couple of tall buildings, in 2003 for $3.82 million. He had listed it in 2012 for $8.5 million, but sold it in 2017 for $5.7 million.

East Hampton: Combs bought this 4,500 square foot, four-bedroom waterfront contemporary on Hedges Bank Drive in 1998 for $2.45 million. He sold it in 2020 for $4.7 million. He had been asking $5.5 million.

The property was gated and had a state-of-the-art home theater, a living room bar, another bar by the pool cabana, and a Carrera marble patio around the pool. Don't like the pool? There were steps to the beach, too.

During the time he owned it, Combs would throw an annual Labor Day celebration known as White Parties after its strict head to toe white dress code. "I remember the first party he threw in the Hamptons," Paris Hilton told The Hollywood Reporter. "It was iconic and everyone was there."

And everyone could be there. In 2016 one could rent the property from Memorial Day to Labor Day for $200,000.

Alpine, New Jersey: In 2016 Combs put up his red-bricked mansion on Anderson Avenue for sale, asking $7.9 million. It had been on and off the market since 2006. Combs purchased it in 2004 in the name of an LLC for $6 million.

The home featured a mahogany-paneled library, multiple master suites, fireplaces, an aquarium, and a full custom home theater, along with a swimming pool, tennis court and private putting green on 3.5 acres of property. It sold in July of that year for $5.5 million.

Saddle River, New Jersey: Combs designed and built this 11,000-square foot house, which sits on 2 acres of land on Burning Hollow Road, in 1997 for $2.5 million. He sold it the following year and later bought a mansion in Alpine, New Jersey.

Among its features is a second floor wrought-iron banister that was custom made onsite; Brazilian cherry wood floors and limestone fireplaces in the sitting room, dining room and family room; and a steam room with seating for 10, sauna with room for six, along with an oversized rain shower and two-person Jacuzzi tub, steps from the indoor basketball court.
