Here’s where the most expensive local single-family property was sold in February

CORONADO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Single-family home sales rose across San Diego County last month, with the most expensive local single-family property being sold in Coronado.

The Spanish estate, considered as a historical landmark, is located near the beach at 1127 F Avenue, according to a report from the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors. It was sold by Jason Oppenheim at The Oppenheim Group and Janice Clements of Compass on Feb. 2 for $28 million.

The four-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion is 14,142 square feet with a sprawling guest house and private garden sanctuary that has fountains and a dining estancia, the real estate agency Oppenheim Group describes on its website.

Del Mar home sold for record-breaking $44.1M as countywide sales slow

Built in 1925, the castle-like home combines both modern and classic styles, from its foyer with a spiral staircase to its 18th-century European terracotta tile and Spanish embellishments.

Other amenities the house offers includes a firepit lounge, wet bar, third-floor roof, a golf simulator, media room with bar, trophy room, 25-seat movie theater with projector, 1,300-plus square foot gym, full spa with dry sauna, massage table, ice bath and four-car garage with golf cart parking.

In February, single-family home sales increased 20% from January, while condominiums and townhomes rose by 24%.
