Where is Kent State headed for a bowl game? Win or lose this weekend, no one really knows
Kent State (7-5, 6-2 MAC) will have a chance to claim just the second overall MAC title in program history if the team wins Saturday’s MAC Championship Game against West Division winner Northern Illinois (8-4, 6-2) at Ford Field in Detroit.
Right now, eight MAC teams including Kent State, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Miami (Ohio) are bowl eligible.
But there is no set bowl game for the MAC champion to play.
Here's a look at the MAC teams that are eligible for bowl play with six wins.
Northern Illinois 8-4 (6-2 in the MAC)
Central Michigan 8-4 (6-2)
Kent State 7-5 (6-2)
Toledo 7-5 (5-3)
Eastern Michigan 7-5 (4-4)
Western Michigan 7-5 (4-4)
Miami 6-6 (5-2)
Ball State 6-6 (4-4)

New Year's Six bowl games
The highest-ranked champion from the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MW & Sun Belt are slated to play in a New Year’s Six bowl – either a College Football Playoff semifinal, Peach Bowl, or Fiesta Bowl.
