Launched almost 20 years ago, T4 - the Channel 4 slot aimed at the yoof (read: people with hangovers) entertained millions over the years with its Friends marathons and pop shows on the beach.

From 1998 until its demise in 2012, T4 was a hit factory spewing out presenters that went on, in the majority of cases, to greater things, and can still be seen on our tellys regularly.

So let's change the ident in the upper left and get comfy as we take you back to a time before Sunday mornings on Ch4 were dominated by Sunday Brunch...

(Note: for our purposes, we're counting Popworld as a separate entity to T4 itself - but if you must know, Simon Amstell's a successful stand-up comic, author and filmmaker, Miquita Oliver cameoed in the Ab Fab movie, Alex Zane is an in-demand TV host and DJ on shows like Rude Tubeand Alexa Chung is a fashionista supreme with her own label and everything!)

1. Vernon Kay

One of the biggest success stories to emerge from T4, Kay has gone on to present numerous shows on numerous channels – perhaps most notably, he served as the host of All Star Family Fortunes for almost 10 years on ITV.

He's also made guest appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie to You?, and many more, and had his own weekday show on Radio X up until this year.

2. June Sarpong

In the 2007 New Year Honours List, June was awarded an MBE for "Broadcasting and to Charity" and went on to join the presenters of ITV's Loose Women while also taking part in numerous politically-charged shows and debates.

Earlier this year her book Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration was published, of which Nobel Peace Prize winner Kofi Annan is a fan.

Also - and we swear this is true - she teamed up with Predator star Jesse Ventura for the truTV series Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, with the unlikely duo investigating UFO 'cover-ups', the 'truth' between JFK's assassination and the government's top-secret super soldier programme that's definitely happening. It was surreal.

3. Steve Jones

Former model Jones stayed with T4 for an incredible 7 years and continued to shine after his departure. He shot off to the States to co-host The X Factor USA with Nicole Scherzinger and can currently be seen, amongst other things, presenting the Formula One coverage on C4.

4. Anthony Crank

Crank - a trained actor - returned to his roots after leaving T4 (after a brief spell presenting the short-lived Bingo Night Live from ITV). Since the brand's demise, he's had guest roles on Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Shameless.

5. Ben Shephard

Be honest, you forgot Ben was even on T4, didn't you? He became a regular T4 face after presenting on C4's The Bigger Breakfast and has gone on to become a firm fixture on television.

He's presented on shows such as GMTV, The Extra Factor, The Krypton Factor and is currently hosting quiz show Tipping Point (whilst also appearing on Good Morning Britain two days a week).

Shephard fanatics will also remind you of his cameos in Friends, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and, most recently, The Lego Ninjago Movie.

6. Fran Lee

The first female presenter began her career on T4 but quickly left television and headed into the world of fashion. For over a decade now, Fran's worked as a succesfful stylist working with the likes of M&S and Addidas and is considered an expert in her field. (See below)

7. Omar Gurnah

Another member of the T4's original line-up, Omar, like Fran, also left the world of presenting for a more creative outlet.

Taylor presented alongside Dermot O'Leary and later Vernon Kay during the early years of T4.

A popular DJ at the time (and to this day - she's been with Smooth London since March 2017), Margherita has also had additional telly stints on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, Countryfile, and This Morning on ITV and even Top of the Pops.

9. Rick Edwards

Four years on T4 saw Rick established as a firm favourite. Once he departed, his presenting skills continue to be utilised by the likes of BBC Three, C4, E4 and ITV2; he began hosting BBC One daytime quiz show !mpossible earlier this year.

Edwards, who's married to actress Emer Kenny, is also a published author and keen Made in Chelsea fan - if you haven't watched him work to wrangle those poshos in his end-of-series specials, you haven't lived.

After her T4 stint, Jamil continued to work as a presenter - most notably hosting The Official Chart show on BBC Radio 1 from 2013-15.

Since last year, she's been pursuing a new career as an actress and is doing really rather well for herself, having landed the role of Tahani Al-Jamil in red-hot sitcom of the moment The Good Place (on NBC in the US, and Netflix in the UK).
