Here’s where 3 winning Mega Millions tickets were purchased in Colorado

DENVER (KDVR) – Tuesday night’s lottery drawing won a player in New Jersey the $1.12 billion Mega Millions jackpot and left several people in Colorado with some serious cash – including a ticket prize worth $1 million.

The drawing on Tuesday night broke a winless streak dating back to last December, making it the eighth-largest prize in U.S. lottery history.

While no one in the Centennial State won – or has ever won – the Mega Millions jackpot, three people in the state ended up with some lucky tickets.

Here’s where the three winning tickets were purchased:

  • $1 million winner

One person in Colorado made the best grocery store trip of their life when they purchased a $20 ticket at a Safeway in Littleton and walked away with $1 million. The ticket was sold at 12442 W. Ken Caryl Ave. in Littleton.

  • $20,000 winner

Another person in Edgewater entered a Player’s Cafe and put down $3 for a Mega Millions ticket and ended up with $20,000 after Tuesday’s drawing. The ticket was purchased at 2045 Sheridan Blvd. Suite K in Edgewater.

  • $10,000 winner

A trip to a Circle K in Longmont left another person with $10,000 after purchasing a $2 ticket. The ticket was purchased at 4206 Ute Highway in Longmont.

How lucky is Colorado?

While three people in Colorado purchased tickets worth big prizes, the Centennial State is still due for a Mega Millions win. When it comes to the jackpot, no one from Colorado has ever won.

That being said, Colorado is a little bit luckier when it comes to Powerball. Three people in the state have won the jackpot, but the last time was in 2017.
