It's the Victoria Day long weekend and that means there will be some closures in the region, specifically on Monday.

In Waterloo region, curbside waste collection is not affected by the holiday and waste, recycling, green bins and yard waste will be picked up as usual. People are reminded to have their items by the curb by 7 a.m.

In Guelph, waste collection is delayed by one day.

Grand River Transit will operate on a holiday schedule. In Guelph on Monday, all buses become on-demand stops so people need to book their ride.

Operations at the Region of Waterloo International Airport are not impacted.

People may notice stores, banks, government offices and other services are closed over the weekend. LCBO locations will be closed on Monday while only some The Beer Store locations (Cambridge, Kitchener and Guelph) will be open.
