What Happened When a Woman Wore a Wedding Dress on First Dates

Whether you’re on the Tinder scene or not, we can all agree that first dates are pretty nerve-racking. So how would you feel about turning up to one in a wedding dress? That’s exactly what British comedian Laura Bubble did, and all for an important cause.

Bubble showed up to several first dates in a white gown — veil and all — to raise money for the research charity Stand Up to Cancer.

And she documented the eligible bachelors’ reactions in the process by vlogging the whole thing. Some guys valiantly played it cool, while others simply asked, “What the f***?” Although most of the men were confused by the whole thing, she didn’t acknowledge her outfit and stuck to saying that it was nice to meet her date and discussing the weather.

Some of her dates even ran off as soon as she was in sight.

Bubble told Metro: “Stand up to Cancer was running a fundraising campaign on the theme of rebellion and asked vloggers to get involved. As I have never done a prank video before, I decided to buy a wedding dress on eBay and give it a go. Some prank videos can be a bit nasty, so I wanted to make a nice, cheerful one that anyone can enjoy.”

Enjoy it we did.
