Westwood Mall biz owners ask for ‘feet on the floor’ after 6-day power shutoff

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJMN) — Local business owners are asking for the community to keep the mall in mind after power was returned to the Westwood Mall following a 6-day power shutoff.

While the regular threat of outages at Westwood is a major challenge, the owners and employees who work there say the unique sense of community is a huge help, and is something they want to keep alive.

Payment to the Marquette Board of Light & Power came late Monday afternoon from Westwood’s New York-based owner, Kohan Retail Investment Group. You can find the rest of the story here.
