Westmoreland asking for these items in disaster relief efforts
WESTMORELAND (KSNT) – Following an outpouring of community support, the City of Westmoreland is now requesting specific items to help those affected by last week’s tornado.
These items include:
Plastic totes (with lids if possible)
Ready to eat meals (like canned soups, ravioli, ramen noodles)
Tuna and canned chicken
Gatorade/Powerade
Peanut butter
New underwear all of all sizes
According to a social media post, you can drop off donations at the community center weekdays 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The city also said residents can place debris from the initial storm at the road’s edge. Crews will be around this week to pick it up. However, property owners are responsible for debris removal from demolition efforts.
