CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Western Energy Services Corp. (WEEEF) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.7 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents.

The drilling services company posted revenue of $21.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $30.8 million, or 34 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $77.4 million.

The company's shares closed at 33 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 22 cents.
